PICAXE
AXE091 (2010)
This PICAXE Experimenter Kit (AXE091) is a very versatile for anyone eager to experiment with the PICAXE. The old kit came with a PICAXE 18X, but the open design let's you use any of the PICAXE chips. Bonus: had a 24LC16 on board.

Cell Phones (2001)
A bunch of cell phones that I used in a past life. Favorite, the Samsung Flip, that looks like a Star Trek communicator.
HEATHKIT
Electronic Workshop 19 Jr. JK-27 (1971)
My first electronics experimenters kit assembled by myself age 14. The CW transmitter I just wired-up and still works. I'm guessing I didn't fry the transistors back then. 8)
This is an adjustable air-core RF inductor used in the tuned circuits of radio transmitters. One of the contacts to the coil is made by the small grooved wheel, which rides on the wire. Turning the shaft rotates the coil, moving the contact wheel up or down the coil, allowing more or fewer turns of the coil into the circuit, to change the inductance.

SAM 201 Modem (1989)
Mainframe data speed demon of the past, 1200/2400 Baud ... oh no!, it's just a extremely slow modem today.
WOW! An unidentified flying object (UFO), ? Nah! That's an old term. An Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)? Nah! Are we being a little verbose? Well, what the hell is it?
A continuously variable air core inductor.
This consists of two coils with the same number of turns connected in
series, one inside the other. The inner coil is mounted on a shaft so
its axis can be turned with respect to the outer coil and thus to change the inductance.
