Changes 2025

The Story So Far ...

MMM, This is nice looking web site.

What has happened here?

Some serious changes have come about in 2024, and I believe everyone visiting my site will approve of them.

The first change is a complete revamp to a responsive, mobile-first page using HTML5, CSS3, and a touch of jQuery. Although the template isn't my creation and is available from various sources, I’ve modularized the code into include files. This approach simplifies using different layouts, much like subroutines or functions in most programming languages.

The second significant change was switching from classic ASP (Visual Basic style coding) to PHP. Since the server supports .NET, you might wonder why I didn't use it. The reason is that I've been scripting on LAMP servers for a while now, and I wanted a uniform code base. I believe running PHP on a Microsoft server has matured and is stable enough to use.

Next on the agenda is to increase the site's content. I know I’m not great at writing engaging content. As a hands-on worker, I find solving technical problems more interesting than writing about them. This site, and others, are hobbies meant for fun, not profit. I hope for the best in the years to come.

After all is said and done, credit goes to everyone who supported my endeavor to create this site.
