Hale-Bopp photo shot around February 20, 1997 (15 second exposure).
From my notes: Very cold -15C and windy. Tripod shortened to prevent vibration from the wind. Cable release. One Roll KODAK 24-400ASA.
I timed the exposure by counting the ticking from my mechanical watch placed near my ear under the tuque.
Wrapped the camera (Canon AT-1) in a air tight plastic bag before bringing it into the house to thaw out. The plastic blocked the frost that would develop on and in the camera from the moist air in the house.
