But alas, deep sadness. Trying to remove the radio from
the case met with disaster. The case was crumbling apart in my ape sized
hands. Couldn't
believe the amount of rust on the radio. Lucky, I guess, there was no
battery in the radio. The inside looks to be in pretty good shape. Hooked the radio up to my 9 Volt DC power supply and the radio works. Still receives several AM radio stations.
Admiral 6-Transistor Radio

Found while cleaning up my basement. This was the first transistor radio I ever owned. It was given to me from my Grandmother (Oma). She always had it in her purse to listen to the news, music or baseball games.
